You can safely check your Atomic Bear pen in your luggage. For carry-on, we don’t claim TSA approval, but many customers have shared photos and videos of using their pens while traveling. The Rebel, Stealth Pen Pro, and Guardian rarely draw attention—I’ve personally carried mine worldwide without issues. That said, security personnel have final discretion, so always follow the rules.
We provide free self-defense instructions for your Atomic Bear pen and offer a more complete training like The Way of The Pen with Doug Marcaida. The Stealth Pen Pro has an optional practice head for safe training, while the Guardian includes one.

Our pens are 'tactical' because they have more than one purpose. They are made to be writing pens. You will find other functions like: glass breaker (all models), self-defense (all models), a stylus (The Defender), a flashlight and multi-tool (MTP-6).
Our pens are unbreakable. You can't say this for most other pens. A pen like the Stealth Pen Pro and the Guardian are more adapted for martial arts and self-defense.

Lethal force has stopping power, but according to attorney Andrew F. Branca (The Law of Self-Defense), it’s not legal in at least 90% of assaults. If you carry a pen with a glass breaker, ensure you actually use it for writing and perhaps you often drive a car. Even carrying a knife in these places can lead to legal trouble. Among available options, Atomic Bear pens are often the most practical and justifiable for everyday carry—but always follow your local laws.
